• Specify continuous, start-up and upset temperature.
• Confirm body, trim, packing and seat material suitability.
• Include thermal cycling and insulation requirements.

Review the complete valve assembly

Pressure-containing parts, wetted trim, seats, seals, packing and actuation need to be evaluated together. A material name or pressure class alone is not a complete specification.
